Recent News:

Currently, I
contribute 16% of my art proceeds to the University of Iowa Dance Marathon for my 16 years of involvement. In June of 2020, I graduated with my master's in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern University so I truly value the concept of giving back through this nonprofit affiliated with Children's Miracle Network. Selling my paintings is less about me making a profit and more about what I can do for the world around me. I thought it would be best to donate my proceeds to a cause that’s near to my heart.

In 2018, I sold artwork at Hey Mikey's Ice Cream Store in Galveston and helped assist in painting a mural in Houston at the Pavement Clothing store with Artist Dandee Warhol. I also worked alongside the Art Ambassadors of Black Elementary to complete an entry for the 'Beautify the Bucket' competition for Artist Boat in Galveston. In 2017, I submitted a design to the #minimurals Project in Houston and showed pieces in the 45 Art Gallery in South Houston. In 2016, I helped create bowls for a soup kitchen at the TAEA conference in Dallas and was involved in a collaborative art project with Patrick Renner for Free Press Summer Festival. I helped paint wood pieces with many other individuals that he would later use to create 3D forms for the festival.

I was commissioned to recreate a family picture for a friend in October of 2012. In the August of 2012, I made my first public art piece in Iowa City by designing and painting a bench in the downtown common area. It's called Hippie Summer Lovin'. My bench was able to create high engagement from pedestrians that passed by. In May, I showed Dance 4 Life and the Triple Landscape paintings in the Senior Gallery Art Exhibit in the Drewlowe Gallery.  In March, I sold my first painting called Distance to a professor I had at the University of Iowa. In the fall of 2011, I held my first gallery show and got some new ideas on what I could do to enhance and make some art into a series, or elaborate as an idea for future work.

About the Artist:

I was born on October 20, 1989, in Madrid, Spain. My father was in the military so I moved all over the world while growing up. I started to
become interested in the arts in elementary school. It wasn't until 9th grade that I fell in love with art in a new way. The skills I started to relish and build upon would only keep blossoming such as drawing and ceramics. My primary focuses in college became centered around: painting, photography, and ceramics. I decided my art subject matter should be centered around my root feelings- my raw emotions. This style has definitely helped me achieve the art I am hopeful to keep creating. I know it could have a 'cliché' sort of connotation, but I definitely endorse flowers, sunrises/sunsets, and landscapes that artists paint and photograph. It is my true belief every artist's intent is to express themselves in the world through their masterpieces.
